For a long time, I lived in two places at onceāmy past, where I beat myself up over missed opportunities, and my future, where I placed enormous pressure to succeed.
It felt like I was running a marathon with a heavy backpack of regrets and expectations. Exhausting, right?
But as I started observing people I admireāthose who truly thrive, not just surviveāI noticed something surprisingly simple yet profound:
š They focus entirely on the present moment.
It sounds obvious, but itās far from easy. Thatās probably why only a small percentage of people achieve deep success and contentment. Theyāve mastered the art of staying grounded in the now.
š” Here’s the balance I strive for:
- Learn from the past
- Plan and manifest the future
- But always act in the present
Iām still in the early stages of practicing this. But let me tell youāitās changing my life. Especially after I introduced just 20 minutes of daily meditation, where I simply allow myself to be, instead of constantly doing.
And guess what? I’m seeing growthāinternally and externally.
Not perfection. Just progress.
If you’re struggling with the weight of āwhat wasā or the anxiety of āwhat if,ā try shifting to āwhat is.ā
š± Be here. Breathe. Take it one moment at a time.
Because your present is not just a stepping stoneāitās the greatest gift you have.
