I recently listened to a talk by Morgan Housel, the author of The Psychology of Money, and one line struck me hard:
“All our lives are hanging by a thread.”
What an undeniable truth—yet, we rarely acknowledge it.
No matter who we are, we have zero control over life. Not even 1%. There’s no guarantee that we’ll wake up tomorrow and log into LinkedIn like we do today.
But here’s the perspective shift: Once you accept this truth, you’ll find peace. You’ll stop obsessing over outcomes and start focusing on what truly matters.
So, keep working towards your goals. Detach from the end results. Since we don’t control life, why stress over its uncertainties?
Enjoy the journey—without worrying about the destination.
